BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The National Fire Protection Association celebrates 100 years of Fire Prevention Week this year, with the theme, “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape.”
The Battle Creek Fire Department is inviting the community to its seventh Fire Prevention Week open house, set for Saturday, October 15, from 2 unitl 4 p.m. at Station 1, at 195 East Michigan Avenue, near Battle Creek City Hall. The event will feature games, station tours, displays of fire equipment, and prize drawings.
City fire crews are also set to visit Battle Creek and Lakeview kindergarten classes throughout the week.
