BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman escaped after being held captive in a hotel room just outside of Battle Creek on Friday, October 7.
Authorities say it happened around 4 p.m. when they got a call from a woman who said her 42-year-old boyfriend had held her against her will with a handgun.
She said she was able to escape after four hours after being held captive at the man’s residence at a hotel in the 4700 block of Beckley Road.
When police attempted to contact the man, he initially wouldn’t come out of the hotel. He was then arrested without incident when he finally left his room after 45 minutes.
The suspect is now lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.
