VICKSBURG (WKZO) — A worker at a construction site on a grain elevator at H & H Feed and Grains on Portage Road in Vicksburg has been killed after he fell about 20 feet, and struck his head on the way down.
The fall occurred at about 9:45 Tuesday morning in a partially built office area being added to the Grain Elevator at 14093 Portage Road.
Undersheriff Pauli Matyas says they believe he died instantly.
He says they are calling the matter a work related accident and will turn the investigation over to MI-OSHA.
They are withholding the victim’s name until Wednesday when they can be sure everyone in his extended family are notified.
