DETROIT, MI — Reservations for the new 2023 electric GMC Hummer pickup and Hummer SUV are not being taken by General Motors until the automaker can meet the demand.
There have been over 90-thousand reservations already for the vehicles, according to GM, which are built at GM’s Factory Zero in Detroit and Hamtramck. The reservations cost a customer 100-dollars. Customers will be informed when reservations open back up.
The Detroit-based automaker blames a shortage of semi-conductor chip sets for continued vehicle production woes.
