SPRINGFIELD (WKZO) — Call it a series of very bad choices.
A 60-year-old man staggered into Sam’s Discount Liquor on Dickman Road very early Saturday morning brandishing a knife and threatening the clerk, demanding that they hand over all the cash in the cash drawer.
Either County Deputies were close by or the robber wasn’t moving very fast because they managed to arrive at the store as he was leaving, and took him into custody.
The armed robber was apparently very drunk already.
The 60-year-old was arrested for armed robbery and taken to the Calhoun County Jail to dry out and await for formal arraignment.
