KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Two separate early Sunday morning shootings on Kalamazoo’s north side left four people wounded.
Public Safety responded to Florence St. at 3:35 am after reports of multiple shots.
They were met by a large crowd fleeing the area.
A short time later three wounded Kalamazoo women arrived at Bronson Emergency. Two were treated and released, the third was admitted in stable condition.
About an hour later, Officers investigating the first shooting heard multiple shots coming from Hawley St. a few blocks away.
They ran into another fleeing crowd and gave chase to a car leaving the scene, soon realizing it was rushing the fourth victim to Bronson Emergency.
That person was also treated and released.
Detectives are doing ballistics tests and interviewing witnesses, to try to determine if there was any connection between the two shootings.
There have been no arrests so far.
