STURGIS (WKZO) — Just after 1 a.m. Sunday, a Sturgis police officer confronted a young girl who was out past curfew, walking on South Lakeview.
When he said he was going to drive her home, she began to walk away.
That’s when he grabbed her arm and she grabbed a knife and thrust it towards the officers face, and requested that she be released.
The 15-year-old said she was meeting someone for the first time she had met on the internet.
He disarmed her, cuffed her and will seek felonious assault charges in the juvenile court.
