LANSING (WKZO)– In the never ending quest to make a visit to the Secretary of State’s office less of a chore, Ruth Johnson is introducing a new program that will let you get in line by calling ahead before you actually get there.
MI-Time line allows you to call a number or go online, find out about how long a wait there is, and then get in line on the call, in essence, making an appointment.
She says they are introducing it one office at a time and its now in place in Kalamazoo.
She says you can still go online and do many functions, or mail in your registration if you plan far enough ahead.
They still expect to see you in the office every 8 years to get the picture for your driver’s license taken.
