ALLEGAN (WKZO) — The Executive Committees of both the Lapeer and the Allegan County Republican parties have now passed resolutions urging their local State Representatives to resign for having an affair with one another.
Cindy Gamrat reportedly got a chance to defend herself during the closed meeting in Allegan, saying her husband had forgiven her for the affair with Rep. Todd Courser, but the GOP members could not, saying she could no longer effectively represent her constituents.
The resolutions are non-binding, in effect just very formal requests and so far Gamrat and Todd Courser have failed to comply.
There has been another twist to this already twisted tale.
Joshua Kline who took the high moral ground at a news conference the other day, complaining about their affair and how unethical it was, may not have that much room to talk. The blog “West Michigan Politics” apparently has learned that Kline had an Ashley Madison account.
That was a website that helped married people cheat on their spouses until it was recently hacked and its clients revealed.
