DETROIT (WKZO) — A Michigan based company based in the burbs of Detroit has started manufacturing the XM-42 Personal Flamethrower.
They are legal in 48-states, at least for now, probably because no one ever believed anyone would try to market a flamethrower.
Chris Byars says granted, they aren’t safe for indoor use, or probably in a residential area, but it’s just a tool like any other, and whether or not they are used purposefully, or for entertainment, as he says they are intended, is up to that person.
He has already sold a number of the $900 hand-crafted flame-throwers and has back orders for 300-thousand dollars more.
He can’t make them fast enough.
They come in a variety of colors.
