WHITE CLOUD (WKZO) — A Newaygo County dad who accidentally smothered his infant daughter, by sharing the same bed, has been given 2 to 7 years in prison, as part of a plea bargain for concealing the 4-month-old baby’s death for several days.
He apologized in court.
28-year-old Matthew Bradley lied to the mother and family members, fearing the consequences because he was drunk and using drugs when baby Natallya died in May.
As it turned out, it wasn’t the death of the baby that sent him to jail, it was the cover-up.
