WALTON TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — There has been another report of a window being blown out in a car, but this time along Interstate 69 in Eaton County.
It happened about 4 p.m. Thursday near Stine Road in Walton Township. Investigators with the major crimes unit of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office are trying to figure out if the window was broken by a projectile.
There were no injuries, but because it is similar to reports along the same interstate in Branch County and along Interstate 94.
Patrols were beefed up in the area and they are asking motorists to also remain vigilant and to report suspicious activities.
Sheriff Matt Saxton says, if your vehicle is hit by a projectile, don’t stop. Instead, note the mile marker where the incident took place and then drive off the next exit and call 911.
