THREE RIVERS (WKZO-AM) — A man with a long history of drug convictions could spend the rest of his life in prison after the shooting death of a man in Three Rivers.
Twenty-eight-year-old Westly George of Three Rivers has been ordered to stand trial for open murder, several drug crimes and gun felonies for the death of Eugene Jackson Aug. 7 on State Street.
Sheriff’s deputies say the two had been involved in a dispute, and George was in possession of a firearm.
Jackson made it to the hospital alive, but died soon after. George is being held on $1 million bond.
