COLDWATER (WKZO-AM) — A woman is claiming she saw a man with a rifle hanging over the rail on an overpass on Interstate 69.
It’s the latest story to come out of the investigation of a sniper taking shots at passing vehicles in west Michigan.
Ron and Nancy McIntyre were southbound north of Coldwater at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when she says she saw the gunman. She called to report it, and sheriff’s deputies who were in the area quickly responded but found no evidence to substantiate her claim.
They are encouraging travelers to keep their eyes open and report anything that seems out of place, even things less suspicious than a man with a rifle.
