LAWTON (WKZO-AM) — A woman is suspected of stealing a small arsenal of weapons, including guns and knives, from a home in Antwerp Township.
Sgt. Ron Douglas says the weapons cache was taken from a home in the 64000 block of County Road 665 on Thursday. They were recovered at the woman’s residence on 72nd Avenue near Lawton over the weekend.
Police were able to recover seven guns, including an assault rifle, several long guns, a shotgun, a collection of over a dozen exotic knives and over a thousand rounds of ammunition. Other stolen items were also recovered.
Investigators have identified a 51-year-old female suspect, but have not yet made an arrest.
Additional investigation is planned. Then, investigators will submit their findings to the prosecutor for possible charges.
