LANSING (WKZO-AM) — New legislation that would allow pharmacists to fill partial prescriptions is on its way to the Michigan House after gaining approval in the Senate.
The “Med Sync” legislation was sponsored by Margaret O’Brien, a Republican from Portage.
It requires insurance companies to reimburse for partial prescriptions, something they often won’t do, removing the biggest obstacle for the pharmacist.
The biggest obstacle for the patient, however, may now be finding the cash to get all those pills at the same time.
