BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Charges may be filed this week against a 19-year-old from Battle Creek after police claim he caused a head-on collision that killed a woman.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Jessica Lambert of Battle Creek.
The police report states Lambert was driving east on Verona Road when the man crossed the centerline and struck her head-on.
Lambert died while they were trying to cut her out of the wreckage of her car. The at-fault driver was also hospitalized.
Investigators are waiting for blood test results before submitting their report to the prosecutor’s office.
