BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A shooting in a commercial area on Battle Creek’s north side has left a man with multiple gunshot wounds, and police trying to retrace his steps.
City police first learned of the shooting at about 11:20 p.m. Monday when the victim, a 20-year-old male, showed up at the emergency room at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital with five gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body.
He was transferred to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for emergency surgery.
The victim was unable to tell police much, but they were able to find the scene of the crime, in a parking lot of one of the businesses at Roosevelt and North Avenue.
Battle Creek detectives are asking that anyone with information about the shooting give them a call at (269) 966-3375.
