KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A house fire on Glenwood Drive in the Westnedge Hill neighborhood forced public safety officers to shut down Westnedge Avenue at Maple Street.
It happened after 1:30 a.m. Friday. Firefighters, upon arrival, saw heavy smoke coming from the house.
Two people were hospitalized at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for smoke inhalation. It’s still not known what caused the fire.
It took about three hours to put the flames out.
