KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Western Michigan University head football coach P.J. Fleck says his team can play competitively against No. 1 Ohio State if they do the little things right.
“We have to be able to execute our fundimentals,” Fleck said. “It doesn’t neccessarilly mean to me that we have to dominate the line of scrimmage or dominate their linebackers, because, physically, they’re better than us.”
Fleck is expecting the undefeated Buckeyes to play considerably better than they did against Northern Illinois last week. In that game, OSU gained only 298 yards in a 20-13 win.
Kickoff at Ohio Stadium is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The game will be broadcast in Kalamazoo on WZOX-FM 96.5.
