KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM)- The Kalamazoo Community Foundation is currently searching for its next CEO and President.
Carrie Pickett Erway stepped down from that position in May from her role as CEO and President, after more than a decade with the foundation. Spokesperson Jordan Duckens told MLive Pickett Erway left the position to spend more time with her family.
Her time working for the foundation began in 1999. She served as a member of the Community Foundation’s Community Investment team and later as the vice president of community investment.
Considered one of the most successful community foundations in the country, the Kalamazoo Community Foundation grants funds to nonprofits. The foundation’s stated mission is to enhance the quality of life in greater Kalamazoo “through community leadership and the stewardship of permanently endowed funds.”
According to Pickett Erway’s LinkedIn, she is now serving as a “nonprofit/philanthropy consultant.”
The foundation has hired a management consulting company to aid in the search for its new top executive.
