HAMILTON (WKZO-AM) — Investigators in Allegan County say they’re looking for the person who assaulted a 25-year-old woman in Manlius Township, pulling her from her car.
He was in the garage of the woman who was headed to work Tuesday morning, according to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office. He opened the door and tried to pull the woman out, but she fought him off and was able to escape. She then dialed 911.
The man then ran behind an outbuilding and vanished.
It happened at 6:20 a.m. in the 5600 block of 136th Avenue near Hamilton. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Hamilton Public Schools went into lockdown as deputies searched nearby. Search dogs tracked the man’s scent to the area.
