THREE RIVERS (WKZO-AM) — The winner of that big Powerball jackpot in Three Rivers still hasn’t gone public, but it’s tough to keep a secret in a small town.
Here’s is what we do know: The 50-year-old mom picked up the winning ticket at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at a Shell gas station hours before the drawing. This contradicts reports from Thursday, where people in the town said the winner was a male.
She reported for her third shift job as a supervisor at Aquatics, and with a crowd of co-workers around her, learned to her stunned disbelief that she was now a multi-millionaire. She reportedly broke down in tears, composed herself and clocked out a few minutes later.
She isn’t ready to go public yet, but will soon.
