KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Conservatives, campaign supporters and people interested in the political spectacle are expected to attend Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign rally at Kalamazoo’s Wings Event Center on Monday.
Michigan Tea Party Alliance president Gene Clem says the Texas senator is making a smart strategic move prior to the March primary, at a time when most Republicans not named Donald Trump are having trouble separating themselves from the pack.
“If he appeared between 600 and 800 people in Kalamazoo, he’s going to be first on their list because he’s going to be the first person they saw,” Clem told WKZO-AM on Friday. “I think it’s a real good plan.”
The program is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Cruz will hit the stage at 9:15 a.m.
