UNDATED (WKZO-AM) — Financial website WalletHub.com has ranked Michigan the nation’s 15th-most energy efficient state.
The company scored the contiguous United States using average vehicle gasoline use and home energy consumption numbers.
The Great Lakes State was closer to the middle of the pack in both of those spots, ranking 19th in home energy efficiency and 25th in vehicle fuel use, but jumped several other states that ranked highly in one category but not the other.
New York, Vermont, Minnesota and Wisconsin topped the list. South Carolina finished in dead last.
