MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WTVB) – The Detroit Tigers open a five-game series against the Minnesota Twins with a doubleheader today.
Detroit will be the home team in the second game, which is a makeup of a game that was postponed last week.
Matthew Boyd gets the start for the Tigers in the first game against the Twins’ Randy Dobnak.
The Tigers have added four prospects to their player pool. Outfielder Parker Meadows along with pitchers Jason Foley, Alex Lange and Logan Shore will train in Toledo.
The team had openings at their alternate site after shutting down pitching prospects Alex Faedo and Matt Manning and losing outfielder JaCoby Jones with a fractured hand.
