HUDSONVILLE (WKZO-AM) — An Indiana man who is charged with causing an accident that killed a young boy made a brief appearance in Hudsonville District Court.
Travis Fox, 40, pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of causing a death during a moving violation.
Prosecutors claim that he was eating a sandwich and looking at a GPS on Aug. 3 on Integrate 196 east of Hudsonville when his pickup truck plowed into stopped traffic near the M-6 junction. The collision killed 13-year-old David Talsma of Hudsonville and hospitalized nine others.
Fox could get a year in jail if convicted. He free on $1,000 bond.
