GUN PLAIN TWP., MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – A 51-year-old Otsego man suffered critical injuries in a collision involving his motorcycle and a SUV near Plainwell on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brandon Berens, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to 10th Street south of 102nd Avenue just after 2 PM. That was where the northbound SUV was attempting to turn into a private drive and went into the path of the southbound motorcycle, causing an unavoidable crash. The biker was taken to Bronson Hospital, while there was no word as to whether the SUV driver, a 26-year-old Plainwell man, was hurt.
No names were disclosed. Berens added that alcohol and speed doesn’t appear to be factors in the incident, which remains under investigation.
