KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety is looking for a man who shot a 17-year-old girl in the leg.
It happened north of Alamo Drive in the parking lot of the Fox Ridge Apartments before 6 a.m. Friday.
Investigators say the man pulled a gun as the girl was walking away. Both were arguing moments before the incident, according to a KPS press release.
The girl was struck by one round. She was rushed to Bronson Methodist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A description of the suspect wasn’t given. They say he fled the scene in a light-colored van.
