KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The average price for a gallon of gas in Kalamazoo is down a dime since last week.
Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.com said regular is selling for about $2.29 right now, but also said drivers should brace for an increase.
“It has been about two weeks since prices have gone up in Kalamazoo,” DeHaan said. “That’s typically the nail in the coffin, usually prices tend to go up every one or one-and-a-half weeks.”
He said refinery maintenance would be the reason for the increase, if it were to happen.
“That’s why I had a previous expectation that prices would rise in the Great Lakes,” DeHaan said. “Though, Michigan is the only state that has not seen that happen just yet.”
The statewide average is six cents lower to $2.44, DeHaan said.
