PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The section of South Westnedge Avenue between Parkland Terrace and Crockett Avenue in Portage is scheduled to close on Wednesday, May 25, beginning at 8 a.m. to allow crews to perform sanitary sewer repairs.
Officials are advising motorists to follow the signed detour routes. They say the work should be completed on Thursday, weather and materials permitting.
The detour route for northbound traffic is east on Bacon Avenue, north on Portage Road, and west on East Centre Avenue. The detour route for southbound traffic is west on Melody Avenue, southwest on Shaver Road, south on Oakland Drive, and east on West Osterhout Avenue.
