ARLINGTON TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A 53-year-old from Bangor may be slapped with drunk driving charges after he drove his 2010 pickup into an Arlington Township pond late Saturday.
He wasn’t immediately arrested. Sheriff’s deputies feared he might be suffering from hypothermia after wading out of the pond in the 35 degree temperatures.
Somehow, the driver took a detour off the 53000 block of M-43 and wound up with the front-half of the truck submerged and the back-end of the truck sitting on dry land.
He was taken to a hospital in South Haven for treatment. The prosecutor’s office will decide on charges once the investigation is complete.
