KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Two members of the Kalamazoo City Commission with long histories at city hall said their goodbyes Monday after opting to not seek reelection.
Commissioner Bob Cinabro served as city attorney before becoming a commissioner. Barbara Miller’s father, Fran Hamilton, was a commissioner and mayor.
“What am I going to do with my free time now? Well, I have three wonderful grandchildren,” Miller said.
“I want to bid all of you a very affectionate farewell,” Cinabro said.
Both got standing ovations on Monday.
The next scheduled meeting of the Kalamazoo City Commission will be held to swear in the members of the next commission after the election scheduled for Nov. 3.
