MOUNT PLEASANT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Western Michigan University baseball team handed rival Central Michigan its first home loss of the season on Sunday, as the Broncos pounded the Chippewas 11-2.
The win snapped CMU’s overall home winning streak of 21 in a row, which had dated back to early May 2021.
Western Michigan returns home on Wednesday for Southwest Michigan Miracle League Day at Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field. The Broncos will host Michigan State University for the contest, which is slated to begin at 4:05 p.m.
