KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Final Gravity Brewing in Kalamazoo teamed up with community partners on Saturday, April 9, to raise money to support the people of Ukraine.
“We saw that the brewery out in Ukraine, Pravda Brewery was making Molotov cocktails,” said Kevin Homan, the general manager at Final Gravity Brewing. “They had to shutdown operations of brewing beer to do that because of everything going on, and we were sitting around thinking what can we do to help.”
Community members showed up to enjoy live music and Ukrainian inspired cuisine created by local chefs.
Final Gravity joined other brewers around the world by crafting beer from a recipe shared by Pravda Brewery in Ukraine.
Proceeds from the event will go toward World Central Kitchen and other charities currently on the ground of the war torn nation.
