DEARBORN (WKZO-AM) — AAA of Michigan says the average price for a gallon of gas in Michigan is a bit lower.
“$2.34 a gallon, that’s a penny less than last week and 66 cents less than at this time last year,” Susan Hiltz, a spokesperson with the auto club, said Monday.
Hiltz said the petroleum market is somewhat stable right now, and that’s limiting wild price swings.
“Oil prices are still down and there seems to be an over-supply in that area, but, locally in the Midwest, we still have the refinery maintenence going on, so that has a bearing on the price, too,” Hiltz said.
According to GasBuddy.com, gas is generally selling for about $2.25 in Kalamazoo.
