KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A 49-year-old Jackson fugitive wanted for trying to gun down his ex-wife last weekend has been arrested in Kalamazoo.
Sheriff’s deputies in Jackson County say Aaron Norris was located by Michigan State Police aboard a Greyhound bus in Kalamazoo on Wednesday. He has since been transported back to Jackson County, where he had his first court appearance this week.
Prosecutors say he staked out the 61-year-old at a friend’s house in the Jackson area Sunday and opened fire with his 12-gauge shotgun as she was driving away in her truck, shattering the vehicle’s back window.
Norris’ bond was set at $250,000. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
