BLOOMINGTON, IND. (WKZO-AM) — The Wolverines have kept their Big Ten title hopes alive, but just barely after struggling to slow-down the non-stop offence of Indiana, which racked up more offense against Michigan than any other team this year.
It took two overtime periods for Michigan to beat the Hoosiers 48-41. The fast-paced Hoosiers offence ripped the vaunted Michigan defense apart, at least until they got down to the red zone, where the Hoosiers found it more difficult to score, opting for field goals instead.
A last gasp touchdown by Jake Ruddock with two seconds on the clock sent ithe game into the first overtime, or Michigan would have lost.
Indiana’s Jordan Howard ran for 238yards, more than the last several teams to play Michigan combined.
Michigan remains 5-1 in Big Ten play. Indiana remains winless.
