PLAINWELL (WKZO-AM) — Cindy Gamrat says she has not read the Michigan State Police investigation report yet and said she’s deferring comment on the fact that it names her husband and several others as being responsible for the texts that eventually resulted in her expulsion from the Michigan House.
The texts threatened to reveal her affair with Rep. Todd Courser if they did not resign from office.
It prompted Courser to attempt one of the worst cover-ups in political history, claiming, in a fake news release, to be a pervert who had sex with men outside Lansing nightclubs. He thought that would blunt the news if the blackmailer revealed the affair.
It blew up in his face.
Courser tells MIRS News that, if he had just ignored the texts, the affair, which was already over by that time, might have been forgotten and they might still be in office.
