BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Fire investigators are blaming an electrical problem for the blaze that damaged the Community Missionary Church on Woodlawn Avenue on Nov. 2.
A bad electrical connection in a water cooler sparked the fire in the nursery in the rear of the building.
The facility was unoccupied at the time. The fire got a head start before it was reported, moving into the sanctuary before it was doused.
