KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Trespassing charges are expected against two Kalamazoo residents after SWAT officers surrounded a condemned home on Woodbury Avenue in Kalamazoo in what they thought may have been a drug deal gone wrong.
Police say the call-out was initiated Wednesday night after two people were found inside a detached garage on the property and a third person was seen running inside, possibly with a gun.
Officers never found the alleged gunman, though officers do have a name for the 25-year-old alleged gunman. SWAT members found evidence that someone had been living in the drug house, but there was no one inside the home.
The city will send in crews to board up the residence.
