PINE GROVE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An investigation is underway after several pipe bombs were found in a ditch in Van Buren County.
Deputies were called to County Road 388 at 23 ½ Street in Pine Grove Township around 4 p.m. Wednesday after a worker mowing the lawn found three pipe bombs in the ditch near the intersection.
The Berrien County Bomb Squad was called to the scene to disable the devices. The Gobles Pine-Grove Fire Department and Michigan State Police assisted in blocking off the area.
No other details have been released at this time and it’s unclear how the pipe bombs got there.
