BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Police have formally charged a woman and two men with robbing the PNC Bank branch on Capital Avenue in Battle Creek on Saturday.
Its what followed that really has them in trouble.
It’s the running gun battle through a snowy Battle Creek that has resulted in additional charges against one of the suspects, who allegedly shot at pursuing officers during the car chase and foot chase that led to their capture.
The just released dash-cam video of the harrowing chase on slushy streets shows it from the cameras of several of the vehicles involved.
Robert Williams, 40, is charged with armed robbery, felonious assault and several gun charges. He was ordered held on $10 million bond.
Charles Young, 36, and Patrice Hampton, 29, are charged with armed robbery and other minor counts. They’re being held on $5 million each.
Two officers remain on administrative leave while a routine shooting review is conducted.
