GALESBURG (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies say a man is dead was killed on Interstate 94 after being struck by his own car.
It happened at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
The 49-year-old stopped in the outside westbound lane of the freeway near mile marker 86. He was standing in front of his car when another vehicle came along and struck it from the rear. The impact was great enough for the car to lurch forward, striking the victim.
Deputies say CPR was administered, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It closed the freeway for two hours as the crash was being investigated. The name of the victim has not been released.
