TOLEDO, OHIO (WKZO-AM) — Western Michigan football is trying to bounce back after falling on the road to Northern Illinois last week, but Broncos head coach P.J. Fleck says No. 24 Toledo will not make that task easy.
The Rockets sport wins over Power Five schools Arkansas and Iowa State this season.
Fleck says Toledo looked impressive in off-season film.
“Toledo was the best football team in our conference — we felt that,” Fleck said. “The depth they have, the experience they have, the athletes they have, they have everything.”
The 6-5 Broncos are out of the West Division championship picture, but a win Friday would make WMU more-attractive to postseason bowl committees.
Kick-off for the regular season finale in the Glass City is set for noon. In Kalamazoo, you can listen to that game on WZOX-FM 96.5.
