MARENGO TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of two females whose decomposed bodies were found last Sunday afternoon at the Spruce Tree Mobile Park in Marengo Township.
According to a Sheriff’s Department news release which was issued on Thursday, deputies conducted a welfare check at a residence at 14200 18 ½ Mile Road at about 3:15 p.m. on Sunday.
They went inside of a residence and found 45-year-old Betsy Karlene Marshall and 18-year-old Cheyenne Marie Marshall dead.
No signs of foul play have been identified at this time. The bodies of the deceased were said to be in a state of decomposition.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Department are waiting for toxicology reports to come back which may determine the causes of death.
The Michigan State Police Crime Lab is assisting along with members of the Calhoun County Major Crimes Task Force.
