PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — Talons Out Honor Flight will be raising money Friday by holding a holiday hangar dance at the Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum.
The group planned the event after packing the Air Zoo for a similar dance with a 1940s theme over the summer.
Dan Moyle, the vice president of the organization, says proceeds will help fund future honor flights.
“We fly our veterans to Washington D.C. for a day trip to see their memorials,” Moyle said. “We just want to honor our greatest generation with that trip.”
The event at the Portage Road location starts at 7 p.m. and will feature holiday cookies, festive music and an appearance by Santa Claus.
Tickets are $15 per person and $25 per couple.
