PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Tuesday, the City of Portage will begin two different construction projects that will require lane closures.
Starting at 8 a.m., a project to install a water service lead to 8542 Shaver Road will be underway, which will include lane restrictions. Motorists are advised to be
alert for construction activities and may wish to seek an alternate route to avoid delays.
Construction and lane restrictions should be completed by 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 27.
The second project is meant for facilitating asphalt repairs across East Centre Avenue, which will cause restrictions from Lovers Lane to Oakside Street.
Traffic will be shifted to single lanes in both the eastbound and westbound directions. Motorists are advised to be alert for construction activities. Construction and lane restrictions are scheduled to be completed on the same day, Tuesday, August 25, weather permitting.
