KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s investigators say the two people who died while en route to see a newborn on Saturday were the child’s father and grandmother.
They believe 34-year-old Emil Skokan III was speeding down South 26th Street in Comstock Township when he lost control near East Cork Street and struck a tree.
Both Skokan and 53-year-old Peggy Nichols died as a result.
