STURGIS (WKZO-AM) — A fire in a molding machine forced evacuation of a plastic company’s facility on St. Joseph Street in Sturgis.
Firefighters found smoke pouring from roof vents at ACM Plastics when they arrived before 6 p.m. Thursday. They say the smoke was so dense inside the building that they had to use thermal imaging to find the flames.
The machine was eventually found and the fire was put out. It was contained to the device.
